The project will be located in the Penglai Economic Development Zone with the total investment of US$ 50 million for timber import and deep processing. 500,000 m3 of various timber products will be manufactured annually after factual operation with the sales income of US$ 40 million. The main products are wooden boards, furniture, decorative materials and office products. 3,500 employees are engaged in the industry. Cooperative Mode: Sole-funded, JV or others.
The project will be located in the Penglai Economic Development Zone with the Penglai New Port in the north, Long-Yan Railway in the west. There will be a station in the zone. Navigation lines to 14 countries and areas including Korea, Japan and Hongkong, and to Lvshun and Dalian have been opened up with the annual handling capacity of 10 million tons. There are complete inspecting agencies including the Customs and the Inspecting and Quarantine Agency. Based on the imported timber the project is mainly engaged in the deep processing of boards, decorative materials, furniture and timber carving. The market potential are quite optimistic.
