In every August since 2000, China•Penglai “Ode to Peace” International Youth Culture & Art Grand Ceremony hosted by UNESCO is held in Penglai, with 3 branch meeting places in USA, France and Korea. The youths and honorable guests from all over the world get together here in Penglai to hold cultural and artistic performances with the theme of praying for peace. In the past several years it is accumulated that hundreds of thousand youths have taken part in this activity, which is acclaimed as “the largest peace party in human history” by the UNESCO. |
